University degree in translation combined with expertise

My degree in English and Italian from the University of Heidelberg Institute for Translation and Interpreting not only taught me the theoretical principles of linguistics but also gave me in-depth subject expertise in technical and legal matters. I use the very latest computer-aided terminology and translation systems to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy and a modern workflow. To make sure my work is of the highest standard at all times, I undertake continuing professional development on an ongoing basis.

Regular stays in the countries of my working languages and attending seminars, workshops and conferences help me keep my language and translation skills up to date and keep me abreast of developments in my specialist fields.

Sworn translatorHanover District Court

I am what we in Germany call a ‘sworn’ translator. This means that I can certify all my translations with an official certification and stamp which are authorised for use in court.

I am also listed at the Italian General Consulate in Hannover, where I have my translations legalised for use by the Italian authorities.

If you have any questions on certification, apostilles and legalisation, just ask.

My networksYour benefit

I am a full member of the German Federal Association of Translators and Interpreters, which has a membership of 8,000 professional language service providers. This gives me access to a wide network of highly competent fellow translators and interpreters whose services I can call on for larger assignments.

In addition, I am a co-founder of Punto Italiano, a network of German and Italian translators and interpreters in Northern Germany.
